ICAMT 2025-2028 Board Elections – Call for Candidates News

Every three years, ICOM gives the green light to all International Committees to hold their new Board elections. This is a great opportunity to join an International Board and participate from the inside!
The ICAMT 2025-2028 Board Elections will be held
online from December 1 to 5, 2025.
Are you passionate about museum architecture, exhibition design, and the evolving techniques that shape our cultural spaces?
This is your opportunity to help lead ICAMT into its next chapter!
We are seeking motivated and thoughtful individuals to join the ICAMT Board – people who bring fresh ideas, embrace collaboration, and are ready to help guide our work with energy and integrity.

Vice Chair
Secretary
Treasurer
Ordinary Members (up to 7)

THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Only ICOM members who have selected ICAMT as their main committee and have Individual Membership in good standing (i.e., have paid their membership fees and comply with ICOM’s membership requirements) are eligible to be candidates in the ICAMT Board elections.
- Institutional members, Students, Honorary and Supporting Members are not entitled to hold an elected office in ICAMT (ICOM Internal Rules, article 2).
- A candidate may apply for a single function only – as a Chair or as a Board member.
- The Election for the position of Chair is held separately (ICOM Internal Rules, article 7.4), while the vote for the other Board applicants is conducted for the role of Board Members (The internal roles of the Office – Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer – are assigned at the Board’s first meeting following the election). The Chair of an International Committee may not at the same time serve as Chair of a National Committee or an Affiliated Organization or a Regional Alliance or as a member of the Executive Board (ICOM Internal Rules, article 7.4),
- No Member of the Board shall serve in the same position for more than six (6) consecutive years
- No Member of the Board shall remain in Board for more than twelve (12) consecutive years
- There is no quorum indication of participation or decision in the ICOM Internal Rules regarding the International Committee. Therefore, the candidates for the position of Board Member on the International Committee who obtain the highest number of votes are elected.

- All applications will be reviewed by the ICAMT Board review committee.Please be available for a conversation about your candidacy as needed. If you are eligible to be a candidate, you will be informed by the end of September, 2025. All selected candidates will be listed on the Web-based voting platform for members to vote during one week (December 1-5, 2025).
- The results will be announced during the ICAMT General Assembly (December 10, 2025).
