Dear ICAMT Members,

The results of the ICAMT Board election voting held from 1 to 5 December, 2025 were annulled at the request of ICOM Headquarters and, due to an extraordinary procedural adjustment, it is required to re-run the voting process.

Previously, on 6 November, 2025, based on information provided by ICOM Ukraine, ICAMT withdrew one of the candidates from the election list.

ICAMT took this decision after having been made aware of information provided by ICOM Ukraine indicated that one candidate for the upcoming Board elections appears on a National Sanctions List of Ukraine. This information is provided solely to ensure transference in the electoral process.

Please note that this candidate  remains fully eligible under ICOM rules, and no determination regarding eligibility or professional conduct has been made by ICOM based on these sanctions. 

The final decision on the election rests with You – ICAMT voting members – who are encouraged to consider all information available when casting your vote.

Following ICOM Headquarters recommendations, the re-run of the ICAMT Board elections would proceed under the following conditions:

1. The withdrawn candidate will be restored to the list, and the full list of 13 candidates will be re-published.
2. A new voting process will be launched one month after the re-publication.
3. Voting members will be informed that ICAMT has received official information from ICOM Ukraine; however, the final decision will rest with the voting members, in accordance with ICOM’s electoral framework.
4. The right to vote will be granted only to members who, as of 30 September 2025 (the application deadline), had selected ICAMT as their main committee.

Accordingly, the revised election timeline is as follows: 

• 23 December 2025 – The  list of candidates will be re-published and communicated to ICAMT members;
• 23 January 2026 – The voting platform will re-open;
• 28 January 2026 – The voting platform will close;
• 31 January 2026 – Following verification of the votes, the election results and the composition of the ICAMT Board for the 2025–2028 term will be formally published and communicated to members.
