ICAMT is pleased to announce the publication of the Light Proceedings
of the international conference “Museums in Sustainability: Necessity and Opportunity”,
held on 27 November 2025
at Fondazione Luigi Rovati in Milan.

Co-organized by Display & Design ETS and ICOM–ICAMT,
the conference brought together leading international professionals to explore the evolving role of museums within the framework of sustainability.

The publication reflects a rich and multidisciplinary dialogue addressing the structural transformation of museums in response to environmental, social, and economic challenges. It highlights how sustainability is no longer a peripheral concern but a central, operational principle that informs governance, architecture, curatorial practices, and audience engagement.

This publication contributes to ongoing international efforts aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda, reinforcing the role of museums as active agents of change and innovation.
